President Biden is making sure to leave office peacefully and with full protection for his family! In the last minutes of his presidency, Biden issued “a full and unconditional pardon” for his family. Yes, indeed, he did.
Biden utilized his executive authority as a safeguard against potential retaliation by president-elect Donald, who had threatened to prosecute those who did not support him once he assumed office. Not only did Biden grant preemptive pardons to Anthony Fauci, Mark Milley, and members of the Jan. 6 House committee last Monday, but he also promptly included his family on that list. The five preemptive pardons were granted to James Biden, Joe’s younger brother; Sara Jones Biden, James’ wife; Valerie Biden Owens, Joe’s younger sister; John T. Owens, Valerie’s husband; and Francis W. Biden, Joe’s younger brother.
In a statement, Biden explained, “My family has endured relentless attacks and threats, driven solely by a desire to harm me – the epitome of partisan politics,” Biden stated. “Regrettably, I see no end to these attacks in sight.” He further stated, “This is why I am utilizing my authority under the Constitution to pardon James B. Biden, Sara Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John T. Owens, and Francis W. Biden. The granting of these pardons should not be misconstrued as an admission that they committed any wrongdoing, nor should their acceptance be construed as an admission of guilt for any offense.”

In December, Biden granted a pardon to his son, Hunter, sparing him from potential imprisonment for federal felony gun and tax offenses.
Biden explained at that time, “Since the day I assumed office, I have maintained that I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I have upheld that commitment even as I witnessed my son being unjustly targeted and prosecuted. Individuals are rarely prosecuted on felony charges solely for errors on a gun form, without aggravating factors such as use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser. Those who fell behind on their tax payments due to severe addictions, but subsequently repaid them with interest and penalties, typically receive non-criminal resolutions. It is evident that Hunter was treated differently.”
He continued, “While I have faith in the justice system, I am also convinced that raw politics has tainted this process, resulting in a miscarriage of justice. Once I reached this decision over the weekend, I saw no reason to delay it any further. I hope that the American people will comprehend why a father and a President arrived at this conclusion.”
