The singer accuses the production team of promoting and pushing baseless claims against him, even after he allegedly provided evidence disproving their narrative, TMZ reported. Court documents listed Jane Doe, whose allegations played a central role in the docuseries. Brown asserts that Jane Doe has been repeatedly discredited and points out that her lawsuit against him was later withdrawn due to the lack of merit.

He also denies being guilty of any sex-related crimes and condemned the docuseries for labeling him as a “serial rapist and a sexual abuser.” Brown reportedly insists the producers disregarded facts in favor of sensationalism, prioritizing fame and fortune over truth. The singer states that he has been taking accountability for his past mistakes and has been working tirelessly for a decade to rebuild his image and growth as a person.

Brown claims the docuseries has caused significant harm to his career, reputation, and business opportunities. As a result, he is suing for $500 million in damages, which he says he partially plans to donate to victims of sexual abuse if he wins. The singer is determined to protect his legacy and reputation against malicious and unfounded attacks.

The documentary was announced on September 30, 2024, and premiered on October 27.

Its logline reads, “Chris Brown: A History of Violence” will detail “Chris Brown’s past all the way back to his troubled childhood, explores the lasting impact of the cycle of abuse, and poses the question: how does a man with such a violent public record maintain his superstar status? With expert and cultural commentary layered throughout, the documentary provides thoughtful reflections into each survivor’s experience and the psychological destruction in the aftermath of their abuse.”
