Atlanta gang investigator Marissa Viverito testifies on wiretaps allegedly proving Lil Baby‘s alleged involvement in several murder-for-hire plots.

According to several reports, Atlanta gang detective Marissa Viverito appeared in court earlier this week in the case involving the fatal shooting of two 13-year-old boys. Lamon Freeman and his friend Jakody Davis were killed during a birthday party. As we previously shared, three people were shot, leaving Freeman and Davis killed, as Lil Baby filmed a music video in Atlanta’s West End neighborhood in May 2024.
In February 2025, the Atlanta Police Department (APD) called out Lil Baby’s actions for the murders of the two teenagers. APD claimed the rapper’s decision to film in a rival gang territory sparked a deadly cycle of violence that spiraled out of control. They further revealed that the murders of the two teens were tied to an ongoing gang war—one allegedly triggered by the shootout on Lil Baby’s music video set.
After being called out by APD, Lil Baby, born Dominique Armani Jones, broke his silence on Instagram. In his Story, he wrote, “Thanks for all the concerns. Please don’t be misinformed by fake news!! I’m overly good.”

On Monday (March 31), a preliminary hearing was held to determine whether there is enough evidence for the suspects in Freeman and Davis’ case to stand trial. Inside the Fulton County courtroom, Atlanta gang detective Marissa Viverito testified that investigators used social media posts, wiretaps, ballistics, surveillance, and interviews with informants to build the case against seven men charged in the two teens’ murders.
According to WSB-TV, Viverito wished to remain anonymous as she works undercover. However, her identity was revealed online. In court, she alleged the defendants are part of the Goodfellas criminal gang. Meanwhile, APD claims rapper Lil Baby is affiliated with their rival street gang 4PF (4 Pockets Full).
While on the stand, Viverito addressed wiretaps, which she claimed proved Lil Baby’s alleged involvement in several murder-for-hire plots. She claimed the taps captured two people discussing a couple of bounties. According to Viverito, the individuals used the word “tickets” instead of bounties. She further alleged that the “tickets” were placed by Dominique Jones, Lil Baby’s real name.

During the preliminary hearing, Viverito testified that the two teens were innocent victims. She said the teens tragically got caught in the middle of a gang war. Prosecutors further claimed that the 2024 murders were connected to Lil Baby. However, the rapper’s attorneys, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg continue to deny any wrongdoing, calling the claims “complete and total nonsense.” The attorneys said the rapper is not affiliated with any gang and had nothing to do with the shootings.
Additionally, defense attorney Brian Tevis, who represents one of the defendants, countered Viverito’s gang member claims. He argued that people cannot be guilty because they’re in a picture with a documented gang member. Elsewhere, fellow rapper and Lil Baby collaborator Young Thug slammed Marissa Viverito. On Tuesday (April 1), Thug tweeted a photo of Viverito and said, “Biggest liar in the DA office.” He then retweeted a fan page’s post that read, “All my homies hate Viverito.”
