As we previously shared, on March 22, 24-year-old Chris Louis was charged after leaving his three children ages 1, 6, and 10, at a McDonald’s unattended as he went on a job interview.

According to The Augusta Press, Louis was charged with deprivation of a minor over the incident that took place at the McDonald’s located at 2902 Washington Road in Augusta, Georgia. This location notably has a play place inside for children to enjoy while dining in.

After Louis allegedly left his kids at the restaurant, a customer noticed that the three children, ages 1,6, and 10, were all alone without supervision. So, the concerned patron alerted restaurant employees and called the local police.

Responding to the call, a deputy located the children unattended. A witness claimed they last saw the Georgia father with his three children around 4:30 p.m. that day. They also claimed that they saw him leave the restaurant, return later, and leave for a second time.

At 6:18 p.m., the father-of-three returned to the McDonald’s to meet his children. However, he was also met with police officers, who arrested him for leaving them unattended. He attempted to explain to police that he did not own a vehicle.

So, he walked to the restaurant with his three children from his apartment. However, he didn’t want to make them walk back while he went on his interview nearby. Shortly after the father’s arrest, the mother of his children arrived at McDonald’s to get them.

Antonio Brown Donates $1,000 To Georgia Father-Of-Three Arrested

Since the incident, Antonio Brown has launched a GoFundMe page for the father with an initial goal of $50,000. At the time of publishing this article, the campaign has raised over $74,416.

On Tuesday (April 1), Brown reposted an article about the father and asked, “Anybody know how to get a hold of Chris? Would love to help him.” He later tweeted that he partnered with GoFundMe to help raise money for Louis. He said, “Leaving his kids wasn’t right. But not everyone has the [money] or help for child care. Chris was on the Pursuit of Happiness and someone people just need help. I will be donating $1,000.”

He then shared a screenshot of him donating $1,084 to the fund he created for the father. After sharing the link to the GoFundMe campaign for the Georgia father, Antonio Brown said, “Almost made it to the goal.” He added, “Sometimes people just need some help. Happy to help Chris and his family get a stable life. Spoke to the family. They have been homeless since November trying to make it. Next step will be helping Chris land a job.”

Shortly after that, Brown tweeted, “Goal met. Thank you for everyone who helped changed this family’s life. Blessings!” Brown also addressed critics concerned that the father wasn’t on a job interview while leaving his kids. He replied, “Spoke to his girlfriend this morning. She said he was at a job interview and that they had been homeless since November. No funds will be sent to family ’till story is verified.. if can’t verify story.. I will have GoFundMe refund the money to everyone who has given  Blessings.”
