Socialites, Karoline Leavitt Got Something To Say About Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Moment
Socialites, come get a load of this! White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is weighing in on Shedeur Sanders getting drafted to the Cleveland Browns — and yep, she’s implying President Trump should be getting some of that credit too.
As we previously reported, Shedeur Sanders dedicated his whole life to football, grinding hard to follow in his father Deion Sanders’ footsteps and secure that dream draft moment. And baby, when the moment finally came, it didn’t unfold exactly how fans thought it would.
Even President Trump couldn’t hold his tongue. He hopped on social media and blasted NFL owners for sleeping on Sanders in the early rounds.
He said,
“What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID? Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be ‘picked’ IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!”

While a lot of folks gave props where props were due — crediting Sanders’ hard work, raw talent, and unbreakable spirit — Karoline Leavitt slid in with a spicy little take suggesting that Trump deserved some of that credit too.
During a press meeting, a reporter boldly asked her,
“Does the president think he deserves credit for Sanders getting picked? Does he think going to the @Browns is better than being undrafted?”
Without missing a beat, Leavitt replied,
“All I will say is the president put out a statement and a few rounds later he was drafted. So, I think the facts speak for themselves.”
Shedeur Sanders Responds With Gratitude, Keeps It All About God and Hard Work
So far, Shedeur Sanders hasn’t responded directly to Leavitt’s comments or Trump’s praises. But best believe, he had already made it clear where his blessings come from.

After getting picked, Sanders said,
“Thank you everybody for all the support. Thank you to the Browns organization for giving me a chance. That’s all I need. … We know these decisions, things happen. … You can’t control the uncontrollable. You can’t control that. You gonna stay positive and stay happy at all times. Know God got you. I knew God had me.”
