Todd Chrisley Speaks Out After Prison Release And Presidential Pardon
Todd Chrisley is finally out the slammer, but he’s still reeling from the experience…even after being fully pardoned by former President Donald Trump.
The 57-year-old reality TV star made his first public appearance since his release just two days prior, stepping into the spotlight for a press conference in Nashville on Friday. As previously reported on Hollywood Unlocked, Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, had been serving time since January 2023 after being convicted on charges of tax evasion and bank fraud.
But in a shocking twist, the couple’s sentence was wiped clean after Donald Trump issued them full presidential pardons a move that caught everyone by surprise.

During the presser, He made it clear that although he’s free, he doesn’t feel vindicated l and he used the moment to speak directly to the public, warning that what happened to him could happen to anyone.
“Whether you believe it or not — because I was you at some point — even though this pardon has happened, I still was convicted of something that I did not do,” Todd said. “It could be you. It could be you, it could be any of you. And somewhere in this room, someone has had a family member that has been affected by the system.”
He went on to speak about the emotional weight of his experience behind bars and how he refuses to carry shame despite what he’s been through.
“I understand the shame that’s around it, but I refuse to feed into that because shame is like a cancer that just spreads and I have no shame,” he added.
Julie Chrisley Absent From Press Conference But Spotted In Nashville
Although Julie Chrisley didn’t attend the press conference, she was seen out in Nashville the day before.
The Chrisleys have consistently denied the allegations that landed them in prison, and now with the pardon behind them, they’re gearing up for the next chapter.
Savannah Chrisley Says The Family Will Return To TV To “Set The Record Straight”
Todd didn’t stand alone during the press conference — his daughter Savannah Chrisley was right there beside him, hinting that their family isn’t done with the spotlight just yet. According to Savannah, the family plans to return to television and finally share their side of the story.
“It’s going to give people a look into the trial and things that we went through, and we’re going to set the record straight,” she said Friday.
The upcoming project will reportedly follow Todd and Julie as they reunite and reflect on their incarceration, as well as highlight the toll the trial took on their family.
“You will see the first time he and Mom see each other for the first time,” Savannah Chrisley revealed.
