Trump Says He’s Done With Elon Musk After Heated Feud: “Not Particularly” Interested in Talking
It’s safe to say that President Trump is still feeling some type of way after his heated online back-and-forth with Elon Musk. And now, it looks like he’s trying to keep his distance.
In an early morning phone interview with ABC News, Trump was asked about a rumored private talk scheduled with Musk following their public fallout. But he wasn’t having it.
“You mean the man who has lost his mind?” Trump asked straight-up. He continued, saying he’s “not particularly” interested in having any conversation with the Tesla founder at this point.
So, what sparked this cold war between two of the world’s most powerful and unpredictable men?

The tension didn’t come out of nowhere. Elon Musk had been serving under Trump’s administration as a Special Government Employee and was known as the public face of the Department of Government Efficiency — also known as “DOGE.” But he dipped out after Trump pushed a spending bill that ballooned the deficit.
Still, Trump made it clear he was the one who told Musk to go.
“Elon was ‘wearing thin,’ I asked him to leave,” Trump posted on social media. “I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!”
So this ain’t just a political disagreement — it’s personal now.

But Musk wasn’t going to take that lying down. In one of the most jaw-dropping moments in their feud, Musk logged onto X (formerly Twitter) and lit the internet on fire.
“Time to drop the really big bomb,” he wrote. “[Trump] is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.”
“Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
This comment hit a nerve. Everyone knows the Epstein case has been wrapped in scandal for years. Multiple powerful names have been linked to the late financier and sex offender — and now Musk is basically accusing Trump of being protected from public scrutiny.
And let’s not forget, Trump’s name has already surfaced in multiple sexual assault lawsuits. So this just adds fuel to an already blazing fire.
