In-N-Out has officially filed a lawsuit against YouTuber Bryan Arnett, accusing him of posing as an employee at multiple locations, making obscene remarks to customers, and causing serious brand damage in Southern California.
According to KTLA, Arnett carried out the prank on Easter Sunday, a day when all In-N-Out locations are closed. Dressed in what looked like an In-N-Out uniform, he walked behind counters, took fake orders, and spewed a long list of vulgar and offensive remarks—all while recording customers without their consent.
Allegations: Lewd Jokes, Lies About the Food, and Brand Damage
In the company’s lawsuit, In-N-Out claimed Arnett made several damaging and false statements, including:
- Saying there were cockroaches and condoms in the food
- Joking that employees dipped their feet in the lettuce
- Offering orders “doggy style”
- Claiming the restaurant was only serving gay people that day
- Telling one customer: “Would you like to sleep with my wife while I watch?”
In-N-Out made repeated requests for Arnett to remove the video, which was originally posted on his YouTube channel. While the prank clip has since been set to private, Arnett followed up with another response video (also now private), where he boldly stated he’s “not worried about the lawsuit.”
In-N-Out Isn’t Laughing: Lawsuit Demands Lifetime Ban and Damages
While Arnett might be brushing off the lawsuit, In-N-Out isn’t playing. The company is seeking a lifetime ban against him and is also exploring financial damages. They argue that the prank violated their trademark, defamed their brand, and recorded unknowing customers without permission—all clear grounds for legal action.
What’s worse? This isn’t Arnett’s first stunt targeting the chain. In-N-Out included in the lawsuit that he’s pulled similar pranks before, and they want the court to step in once and for all.
